The Moroccan Children's Trust supports poor children and their communities in South Morocco. They work with Moroccan partners to build brighter futures for Morocco's disadvantaged children. Their volunteers work on a variety of locally run projects. Projects based in an orphanage, in a centre for disabled children, in pre-school classes and more. So far, the hard work and contributions of volunteers have had a significant impact on children's lives. In October 2010 MCT opened a centre for street children. From there, social workers provide emotional and practical support to children, including helping them to access healthcare and getting ID papers, which allow them to go to school. The street children project helps to keep nearly 100 children off the streets so far, by providing extra school support, non-formal education classes and leisure activities, like football and martial arts training.
